Primary technique on this service
14,000 sq. ft.
Integrated laboratory in Jaipur
This service targets trace organic and inorganic contaminants in water that routine panels do not cover: pesticides, volatile organics, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, phthalates, disinfection by-products and hexavalent chromium. Reporting runs at parts per billion against IS 10500 and international drinking water limits.
Industrial neighbours or historic land use raise contamination risk
A consent condition names a specific trace contaminant
Due diligence on land, a borewell or a water source before purchase
A routine panel came back clean but the problem persists
What we test on this service
Panels are built from the list below. Tell us the market and the specification and we select the parameters it calls for rather than selling you the whole sheet.
Organochlorine, organophosphate and pyrethroid pesticides
Heavy metals at ppb level including hexavalent chromium
Volatile organic compounds and trihalomethanes
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Phthalates and bisphenol A
Cyanide, phenolics and surfactants
Method
How the analysis runs
Instrumentation and controls
Every batch runs with the controls its method requires, on calibrated equipment, and a second analyst reviews the data before the report is released.
Standards and methods
Results are reported against the method below, or against your buyer's specification where you send one with the sample.
Ask for the full NABL scope document if you need to confirm accredited coverage before sending the sample.
Not sure which parameters your buyer wants?
Send us the specification. We will tell you what to test and what it costs, at no charge.
The approvals this work is issued under
Trace contaminant scopes are covered under NABL TC-5843 and CPCB approval, and are used for consent compliance and groundwater assessments.
Before you send it

7 to 10 working days depending on the panel.
Industrial estates and common effluent plants
Groundwater and borewell users
Packaged water and beverage plants
Environmental consultants and EIA teams

Questions we get asked
Do you do hexavalent chromium separately from total chromium?
Yes. They are separate determinations and we report both when the consent condition calls for it.
Why did a routine panel miss the problem?
IS 10500 covers a fixed list. Industrial solvents, phthalates and specific pesticides sit outside it and need a targeted method.
Can you identify an unknown contaminant?
A GC-MS screen will often name the compound class. Tell us the site history and we can narrow the search before we start.
Do I need to preserve the sample?
Metals samples are acidified, organics are kept cold with no headspace. We will tell you exactly what to do for your panel.
