This service tells you what a fuel is worth and how it will behave in the furnace, measuring moisture, ash, volatile matter, fixed carbon, sulphur and gross calorific value. Ash fusion and grindability results explain slagging and mill performance before they cost you a shutdown.
Settling a consignment or rake against a supply contract
Umpire analysis where buyer and seller results disagree
Qualifying a new coal, lignite, biomass pellet or RDF source
Emission planning where sulphur, chlorine or mercury matter

Ash fusion temperature and ash composition
Hardgrove grindability index
Trace elements including mercury and chlorine

Questions we get asked
Do you do umpire analysis for a billing dispute?
Yes. With a sealed sample and both parties named in the request, we issue an umpire report against the agreed standard.
How fast can you turn around a calorific value?
Same day on receipt if the sample arrives before noon and you tell us in advance.
How do I sample a rake so both parties accept the result?
Draw per IS 436 with both parties present, split into three sealed portions, and name the umpire laboratory on the seal.
Does moisture loss in transit affect the result?
Yes. Send the sample in a sealed moisture-tight bag and we report both as-received and dry basis values.
