This service reads DNA rather than chemistry, using PCR to confirm what a sample actually is. It identifies species in meat and fish, authenticates plant material in herbal raw drugs, screens for genetically modified content and confirms probiotic strains and pathogens.
Certifying basmati purity and admixture for an export contract
Verifying species in meat, fish, pet food or a herbal raw drug
GMO screening demanded by an importer or a certification body
Fast pathogen screening where a 48-hour answer matters

Questions we get asked
Can you confirm basmati purity for an export contract?
Yes. DNA marker analysis reports the percentage of non-basmati and admixture varieties, in the format APEDA and overseas buyers accept.
How accurate is basmati admixture testing?
DNA marker analysis resolves admixture to within about one percent, which is the level export contracts are written around.
Can you test cooked or processed samples?
Often yes. Heavily processed or retorted products can degrade DNA, so tell us the process and we will say whether it is viable.
Is a PCR pathogen result accepted by FSSAI?
A PCR negative is accepted as a rapid screen. A positive is confirmed by culture before it appears on a report.
